Course may be repeated for credit. Two hours seminar and one hour consultation per week.

We will survey recent (and some not so recent) literature in the modeling of paleoclimate, primarily of the Holocene and last glacial. The emphasis will be on processes (thermohaline circulation, monsoons, ice-albedo feedback, etc...), with special focus on the role of the tropics in paleoclimate.

Advanced undergraduates wishing to take the course should contact the instructor to check that they have the necessary background.
