
Toluca is Barlow's Province 5. It is described on page 11 of the Matricula
and on folio 33 (recto) of the Codex Mendoza. The following maps and
table are all from Barlow (1949).

now known as El Nevado de Toluca. The dashed black line is the eastern
boundary of the Estado de Mexico, and the meandering black line is the
Rio Lerma. Tuluca, the cabecera of of the province, is now the capital
of the Estado de México.
