Location Map. Acolhuacan is shown in green.

Barlow's map of the Province. This densely populated province includes a large part of the northeastern sector of the Valley of Mexico. In terms of political units its northern sector is located in the State of Hidalgo, the southern sector in the Estado de Mexico. Barlow was unable to locate 11 pueblos, but compensated for this by adding another 10 from sources other than the Codex Mendecino.
