We are thrilled to announce that Clancy Wilmott has won the 2023 UC Berkeley Graduate Assembly Faculty Mentor Award! Every year, this award honors three Berkeley faculty or teaching staff who have shown outstanding commitment to mentoring, advising, and supporting graduate students. Excellent mentorship has a transformative effect on the well-being, academic success, and overall experience of our graduate students, never more so than during these challenging times. It is something to be celebrated and acknowledged. Clancy demonstrates an exceptional dedication to helping UC Berkeley graduate students to succeed academically, professionally, and personally.
Alexis Wood, current Geography graduate student, nominated Clancy and shared the following: As I’m sure everyone in this department knows, Clancy is an absolutely exceptional and dedicated mentor to myself, other graduate students, undergraduate students, and students who have long graduated, and I’m just over the moon that she's being honored with this award. I have the great honor of being able to present Clancy with this award on Wednesday, April 26th at Alumni House (Toll Room) at 5pm and I hope everyone will come and celebrate with us, if not just to be incredibly loud and embarrassing when her name is called.
Congrats, Clancy!
