The Department of Geography invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty member in critical geospatial practice and analysis at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning Fall semester 2024. We seek a scholar with a commitment to and in the Americas with attention to Indigenous and/or Latinx politics, contexts, and issues, who has an analytically rich and critically engaged geospatial practice including critical data studies, geocomputation, remote sensing, or GIS. Thematic areas of interest could include (but are not restricted to) geospatial research in racial/ethnic inequalities and/or human rights or environmental politics or data sovereignty. This position offers synergies with emerging research and teaching programs in Computing, Data Science, and Society (CDSS).
