Lecturer Seth Lunine wins the Chancellor’s Award for Community-Engaged Teaching

March 17, 2025

Each year, the UC Berkeley Chancellor recognizes students, staff, faculty, and community partnerships that embody UC Berkeley’s proud tradition of public service and commitment to improving our local and global community. The Chancellor’s Awards for Public Service honor individuals and groups for their exceptional commitment to advancing social change through public service, a pillar of the university’s public mission.

The Chancellor’s Award for Community-Engaged Teaching honors leadership by faculty in developing or teaching community-engaged courses or in engaging students in community-based research. For the 2024-2025 academic year, UC Berkeley Geography Lecturer Seth Lunine was named the outstanding recipient of this award! His courses include California, the Urban Experience, the Bay Area, Urban Field Study, and Field Study of Buildings and Cities.

Seth and his fellow recipients will be honored on May 12, 2025 at the annual Chancellor’s Awards Ceremony.

Congrats, Seth!
