Frontiers Journal's Sustainable Food Systems edition has published a paper co-written by Geography B.A. alumni and former Berkeley United Geographers (BUGs) President, Kathryn McNeal. The article, titled "Diversified Farming Systems: Impacts and Adaptive Responses to the COVID-19 Pandemic in the United States, Norway and China," offers a unique insight into the global nature of the COVID-19 pandemic by examining impacts and responses in the agri-food sector, focusing on small, diversified farms. You can read the whole paper here and/or check out the two-page summary here. Congrats, Kat! We are so proud of you!
